Skin Care Tips
What is the first thing people notice about you? Is it your smile or lovely personality?
No it’s your face. Healthy skin is the key element to a healthy looking
face. By incorporating a daily skin care regime and visiting your skin care therapist
monthly, you will increase your skin’s health and improve your overall
appearance. As a professional esthetician, day spa owner and creator of the Jalpurnia
Catrice skin care line I’d like to share some basic tips and guidelines
to healthier skin.
1. Keep your skin clean
This is by far the most important step
in achieving healthy skin. When you cleanse your skin you are removing excess
oils, dirt and waste materials from perspiration as well as bacteria and fungus.
You would be surprised at all the things your skin is exposed to during the course
of a day.
2. Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate
This step is just as important
and the first of cleansing the skin. When you exfoliate you are removing dead
skin cell that accrue daily. It is important to remove these dead cells so
they don’t clog your poses and give your
skin a rough texture. Exfoliation should be done every third day or twice a week
which will result in smoother, softer, luminous looking skin.
3. Moisturize
Moisturizing is a must! Products with little to no
chemical additives are the best. You should use a product that has natural humectants
in it which adhere moisture to the skin. Jalpurnia Catrice skin care has two
fabulous moisturizers which has no chemicals, artificial coloring or fragrance.
4. Protect
against the sun’s harmful rays
Sun damage leads
to hyper pigmentation (brown spots) which can develop into serious skin disease.
Over exposure and thicken fine lines and age the skin dramatically, you should
use a SPF 15 or higher on all exposed skin especially your face.
5. Exercise Exercise increases circulation which increased oxygen
to the tissue which keeps the skin looking young.
6. Eat a healthy diet
A diet rich in vitamins, minerals and enzymes are suggested for healthy skin
and a healthy body. Since their functions are essential to life and health and,
therefore, to the underlying condition of the skin it is important to consume
fruits and vegetables everyday.
7. Manage your stress
Did you know that stress can cause acne? Yes
stress can cause an acne breakout out to occur as well as other harmful responses
in the body. It is important to find positive and healthy way to mange it. One
suggestion would be to visit a day spa where you can de-stress with a relaxing
massage or other spa treatments that calm the nervous system and aid in the body’s
restoration process.
